Purpose

Fair Voting BC is a multi- and non-partisan organization which works for fair voting systems for all elections held in BC, whether for federal, provincial, or municipal legislatures or councils or for independent organizations such as societies, unions, coops or student councils.  We also support improvements in operating practices of elected bodies aimed at making government more representative, inclusive, transparent and accountable;  such improvements may relate to campaign financing and disclosure rules, committee structures, or legislative conventions.

Early Days - Focus on Grassroots Development

Since these are still early days, we're concentrating on building our campaign team so that we'll be ready in the months leading up to the referendum. By sharing a little of your background, skills and interest with us now, you're letting us know that you're ready and willing to take on appropriate tasks as they come up - we will contact you as needs arise.

Fair Voting BC has an all-volunteer board. Our members have political beliefs across the political spectrum, but we all share the belief that all voters are entitled to have a representative of their choice sitting in the various legislatures and councils we elect politicians to.

Our current board and executive was elected at our last AGM held in September 2009.
